I am now deep in dissertation writing mode. It has been going okay, have first draft of most of it completed and feel like I know lots and lots about the kenyan labour market! I've also moved from Camden to Pimlico to stay in Susan's room while she is on holiday. It is quite a gorgeous flat and a good place for dissertation writing.
I booked my flights a few days ago...so i am now financially committed to actually going. I'm leaving 1st october and flying Glasgow-Amsterdam-Nairobi-Kigali. 17hours of traveling in total including 40min on the tarmac in Bujumbura (Burundi). Methinks it'll be an adventure to start me off!
I'm not feeling hugely eloquent this morning (which doesn't bode well for dissertation writing) so I won't write much, but a few people have asked about prayer points so I'll but a couple up here. I really would appreciate the support!
Prayer points:
- Thank God for providing Christian contacts there already and pray that those contacts would be fruitful in helping me find churches to be involved with and christians to have fellowship with
- Pray I'd keep trusting Him with dissertation and through the whole transition, that I would grow in my love for Him through everything.
- Pray that the last few weeks with friends and family would be quality and not too hard.
